Albina
The second floor can be reached by climbing three flights of stairs or, more conveniently, by taking the elevator from the reception desk.
It's one of our smallest rooms, with no living area. But it's also one of our favorites.
Intimate, cozy, with everything in its place and some of our favorite paintings.
A king-size bed, an open-fronted wardrobe, and a small desk for reading or jotting down a few lines. A minibar, a coffee maker, and a kettle—just like in every room at Hortus.
The bathroom is accessible directly from the bedroom. Simple, well-equipped, and no-frills.
But the best part is the little terrace. Small and cozy, with a direct view of Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta, and the Como branch of Lake Como. It offers one of the most stunning views in the entire house, all from one of the smallest spaces.
The style is typical of Hortus, here as well: colors, vintage details, and family heirlooms that remain where they’ve always been.
