Felicita Suite
It is located on the first floor. You can reach it from the exterior entrance for the guest rooms, or from the front desk—you can also take the elevator.
It takes up the entire west side of the house. That’s the side where the afternoon light—the warmest light—shines in, and where you can see the lake from almost every corner.
The style is typical of Hortus: modern, colorful details alongside vintage items that once belonged to our family. Nothing too contrived.
The room, which features a king-size bed, opens onto a small private balcony with two chairs. From there, you can see Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello, and the center of the lake. It’s a great spot for a leisurely morning coffee or an aperitif at the end of the day.
The bathroom, which features a walk-in shower, also overlooks Villa Carlotta.
Next to the bedroom is the living area: a sofa that converts into a bed, a table for four, and a kitchen equipped for preparing a simple meal or enjoying an aperitif on your own. As in all the rooms at Hortus, there is a minibar, a kettle, and a coffee maker.
From here, you step out onto the large private terrace, shaded by plants. It’s separate from the one belonging to the Basilio Suite, but the two spaces can be combined by booking both suites.
With its lounge chairs and shaded corners, the terrace overlooks the garden, the pool, and the center of the lake. From there, it’s hard to be in a hurry to go back inside.
